The Burris Eliminator 6 4-20x52mm riflescope is Jim's all-around favorite hunting scope. It has a rangefinder and ballistics built into the scope, so you just press a button and it ranges what you're pointed at in the scope, and it puts a red dot in the scope for you to use as your new aiming point to hit that distance.
The system works flawlessly. It's expensive, but nothing else competes with it. The only drawback is it's illegal to use for hunting in Idaho, Utah, and Alaska. But for the range as well as hunting in most states, it's as good as it gets.
