That’s why we designed the Backstop Recoil Pad, an easy-to-install upgrade that significantly reduces peak recoil impulse and minimizes scope vibration—helping you stay on target and spot your impact with greater precision.

Custom-Tuned for Your Rifle

Sig uses the same recoil pad no matter whether you have a 300 PRC or a 6.5 Creedmoor.  That makes no sense because they have drastically different recoil impulses. Backstop is tailored specifically to your Sig Cross model and cartridge. We ask you at checkout what cartridge your rifle shoots and then tailor-make a pad to fit that recoil level.

Sig Cross models that have an adjustable length-of-pull and recoil pad height will keep that functionality with this aftermarket pad.  The Sig Cross TRAX does not have adjustable butt-pad height, and that remains the same with our upgraded pad.

Do you have a pad for my pew?

Probably! We have more recoil pad fitments available than any other company--now over 300.

At the top of this page, enter in your rifle make and model. If you see yours listed, it's a guaranteed fit.

Is this made in China?

No, but full disclosure, we often eat Chinese food while making your recoil pads. We find that a little orange chicken really helps us to do our best work.

Can you ship to my country?

Backstop is currently only shipping to USA and Canada.

Is the Backstop Recoil Pad durable?

We've been selling these for three years. I make it a practice to read through customer emails every day. I don't have an exact count, but I'd estimate less than 5 times EVER have I seen a durability issue with the pad--coming unglued or a tear or something like that. Especially with the hard long-term storage case we provide, you should never face an issue.
